Every load, every mode, one live screen
LTL from a dozen carriers, a reefer load, two trucks and a white glove delivery should not mean twelve tracking tabs. The Control Tower puts every open shipment on one screen and shows you which ones need attention before your customer calls.
Short answer: A freight control tower is one live view of every shipment in motion. In the GetShippingRates platform it groups open loads by mode (LTL, reefer LTL, truckload and white glove), shows each mode's on-time rate, flags exceptions, late loads and missed pickups, and lets you drill into a radar of how close each load is to delivery.
From the tower to the problem load in two taps
See every mode at a glance
Each mode has its own lane into the tower: loads in the network, what's booked, the last 14 days of volume and the 30-day on-time rate.
Tap a mode for its radar
Loads sit on a radar by how many business days they are from delivery and which direction they're coming from. Late loads get an amber ring; exceptions and missed pickups turn red.
Open the load and act
Carrier, PRO, ETA and the last scan are one click away, with the full shipment, documents and tracking link behind it.
What the Control Tower watches for you
Exceptions first
Appointment needed, delayed at terminal, refused or damaged: anything a carrier reports as a problem rises to the top of the list.
Missed pickups
A booked load with no pickup scan after its pickup date is flagged, so you chase the carrier the same day, not the next.
Running late
Loads past their ETA and not yet delivered get an amber ring on the radar and a count on the mode card.
On-time by mode
Delivered on or before ETA over the last 30 days, per mode and overall, so you can see which part of your freight is slipping.
One scan feed
The latest tracking events from every carrier in one running list, newest first.
Day and night
The tower's sky follows your local time, from sunrise to night. A small touch for a screen your team keeps open all day.
See it on your own lanes
In 15 minutes we quote your real lanes across the modes you ship, show the Control Tower and booking flow, and answer questions about setup. Accounts are set up after a quick credit check, and there’s no software to install.

Questions we hear
Who is the Control Tower for?
Shippers that move more than one mode, or enough LTL that tracking carrier by carrier eats the day. It's switched on per account, so tell us in the demo if you want it.
Where does the tracking data come from?
From the carriers' own tracking updates for every shipment booked through the platform, refreshed through the day. The tower reads the same shipment records as your shipment list, so the numbers always match.
Can my customers see it?
The tower is for your team. Each shipment also has a shareable tracking link you can send to a customer, without giving them a login.
Does it replace our TMS?
For many shippers it is the TMS: quoting, booking, tracking and reporting in one place. If you already run one, we can talk about connecting through Armstrong's API.
