Parcel rates in the same place as your freight
Most shippers send boxes one way and pallets another, with a different login, a different invoice and a different tracking page for each. Price parcels on the same platform as your LTL and truckload freight, and keep every package and pallet in one shipment list.
You enter
- From and to ZIP
- Your box or envelope: length, width, height
- Weight per package
- Home or business delivery
You get
- Service options side by side, priced by packaging
- Delivery days for each service
- Letter and flat postage when it isn't a box
- A saved quote you can re-rate later
Short answer: Business parcel rates depend on the package's size as much as its weight: carriers bill the greater of actual weight and dimensional weight, and the packaging you choose (your own box, a flat-rate box, an envelope) changes the price. The GetShippingRates platform prices parcels by packaging and service next to your LTL and truckload quotes, and Armstrong Transport Group's team arranges the shipment.
How parcel quoting works
Describe the package
Enter the ZIPs, the box or envelope dimensions and the weight. Letters and flats are priced as mail, not as parcels, so you never pay box rates for an envelope.
Compare services
See every service and packaging option with its price and delivery days, from economy ground to overnight.
Ship it with your freight
Your Armstrong team arranges the shipment, and the package shows up in the same list and reports as your pallets and trucks.
Why parcel belongs on your freight platform
Priced by packaging
The same box can price very differently as your own carton, a flat-rate box or a padded envelope. Each option is shown on its own line.
Dimensional weight shown
See when a light, bulky box bills on its size, and use the free dimensional weight calculator to right-size your cartons.
Parcel or LTL?
A stack of heavy boxes going to one address is often cheaper as one pallet on LTL. Quote both from the same screen and pick.
One shipment list
Packages, pallets and full trucks in one place, with one set of reports for spend by mode, lane and month.
Mail, too
Letters, flats and postcards are priced at mail rates instead of parcel rates, which can be several times cheaper for flat items.
People behind it
Armstrong's team handles the shipment, claims and anything that goes sideways, the same as your freight.
See it on your own lanes
In 15 minutes we quote your real lanes across the modes you ship, show the Control Tower and booking flow, and answer questions about setup. Accounts are set up after a quick credit check, and there’s no software to install.

Questions we hear
What is dimensional weight in parcel shipping?
A billing weight based on the box's size: length times width times height, divided by the carrier's divisor (often 139 for cubic inches). Carriers charge whichever is higher, the actual weight or the dimensional weight, so oversized boxes cost more than their weight suggests.
Can I print parcel labels online?
Not yet. Parcel rates are priced instantly in the platform today, and your Armstrong team arranges the shipment..
When should boxes ship LTL instead of parcel?
When several heavy boxes go to the same place on the same day. Once a multi-box shipment passes roughly 150 to 200 pounds, palletizing it and shipping LTL is often cheaper and safer. The platform lets you quote both.
Do I need a separate parcel account?
No. Parcel is one of the modes on your GetShippingRates shipping account, alongside LTL, truckload, reefer, international and final mile.
